NAME: YARDY RIVER TOURS

Description: NEW DISCOVERY!!!!!!
THE BEST TUBING on the entire island! This is just part one of the most exciting new attraction I have seen in years. We tried it out on Saturday afternoon. The float itself took us more than 90 minutes and we didn't even start from the top. If you want a really awesome day in paradise, let us show you this adventure.

Name: MAYFIELD FALLS AND YARDY RIVER TUBING

Description: Our newest and very best Waterfall and Tubing Combo. I am recommending this even over Secret Falls and Tubing. It is still undiscovered. We can have it all to ourselves for the day. It is also closer to Montego Bay than Secret Falls. The trip up through the rainforest is spectacular.

Name: GREAT RIVER ADVENTURE ZIP LINE (The Same as the ADVENTURE ZIP)

THE LONGEST ZIP LINE IN THE ENTIRE CARIBBEAN REGION

Description: This is the ZIP for those of you who love zip lines already, or who want to experience one extraordinary one for the first time. The rainforest is spectacular and the fun is non stop.
Board a 6X6 vehicle for a nature tour on the way to reach the start of the zip, spend a few minutes for instructions and then off you go on the ride of your life. They start with a mere 250 foot line to warm you up and finish up the 5th section with a 1600 foot long ride. It is incredible and better than any other zipline offered in Jamaica.
It can be combined with Bamboo Rafting, Rockland's Bird Sanctuary, Mayfield Falls, or a guided hike in the rainforest with Harry (a most interesting local guide) for an additional charge. If you want shopping, beach, or Margaritaville on the way back to your hotel, or ship we will take you to do that, too.

Just tell us if you want a quiet ramble to see the heart of rural Jamaica with people out washing their clothes and their picknee in the same stream, laughing and talking to all and sundry as they do, or a serious hike to the top of the peaks for 3-4 hours, we will set it up for you.

Name : MOUNTAIN VALLEY RAFTING AND ROCKLANDS BIRD SANCTUARY

Description: Spend a restful hour floating downstream at a leisurely pace on a 30 ft bamboo raft. Your captain will describe the flora and fauna along the way. This is an activity for any age.
From there to Rocklands Bird Sanctuary is a 15 minute drive. Started by Lisa Salmon in 1952 when she bought a couple of acres and moved to the 'bush'. She started feeding all the birds and putting hummingbird feeders out in the woods and moving them ever closer to her veranda. It took her six years to get the first bird to sit on her finger and drink sugar water from a vial, but being the fickle beasts they are they will now sit on anyone's finger.

Name : FISHING ON THE NORTH COAST WITH LOXLEY
Description: Fishing with Loxley is deep sea fishing with a local twist.

This is for those who want to know how we do it here in the islands. You can go out on any coast in North America in a fancy boat with power chairs, electric reels and plenty of cold beer. We have cold beer, but the rest of the experience is old school Jamaica. We haul in the fish using hand lines, or rods and reels. If you want an up close and personal experience with the denizens of the deep, this is your best chance. Everyone gets involved in hauling in a Marlin. Mahi Mahi are great eating and fun to catch. Bonito, if you run into a school of them, take all four lines at once and keep us all busy as they line up begging to bite on your lure. We hauled in 25 Bonito one afternoon recently.  Kingfish, tuna and jack are waiting to make your acquaintance, too.

SNORKELING TOUR AND/OR LOBSTER ON THE BEACH Barrett Adventures. Name: SNORKELING TOUR
 AND/OR LOBSTER ON THE BEACH

This is a most extraordinary snorkelling tour. Like none other that is offered in Jamaica.

Take a ride on The Lark to the Airport or Secret's reef and snorkel to your heart's content. This is no 15 minute dip in the sea. All of our clients will tell you that we let you snorkel for as long as you wish. These are both huge reefs with lots of colourful fish and interesting coral formations, eagle rays and even an occasional nurse shark (overgrown catfish, not aggressive). We feed the Sergeant-Major fish and others who come around us in a cloud. Plenty of fun for all ages.

If you are doing both snorkeling and Lobster on the Beach you can stay as long as you like at the reef and then come back to Whitehouse Beach and have fresh caught lobster with all the trimmings cooked over an open fire, done to perfection by Loxley.

Lobster on the Beach is for groups of 6 or more. Have lunch or dinner on a very local beach, interact with our fishermen and have a great time eating our local lobster.

Name: SCUBA DIVING IN MOBAY MARINE PARK

Description: The MoBay Marine Park is getting better by the year. The corals that were devastated by multiple hurricanes are growing back nicely.

Kelly's Dive Shoppe has some of the best locations to dive and millions of fish to feed. They will also make arrangements for those who are coming off of cruise ships for a two tank dive for the day. This is something I have not been able to arrange with any other dive shoppe. Yeah...Kelly's Dive Shoppe!

Name : RIO BUENO, RIVER BOARDING, TUBING,  RAFTING AND KAYAKING

Description: Open under new management and ready with quality equipment and a new activity in Jamaica, RIVER BOARDING. A new sport developed by the Kiwis. It is active, but can be done by children (who love it) as well as adventuresome adults.

We also offer Kayaking, Tubing and Traditional inflatable rafting. Each individual in your group can choose their own preferred mode of going down river. No need for all do the same thing. We can keep you together.

Because of Hurricane Nicole, who rather changed the tenor of the river, we can not offer the White Water Rafting that we used to, we use the lower rapids to the sea. It is still exciting, but not dangerous (class I & II rapids). You can choose the mode of transportation that suits your fancy.

Name : CAROLYN'S SECRET FALLS AND TUBING

Description: The Secret Falls are probably our single most popular tour. We have lots of unknown waterfalls around the island, but this one is the most accessible. The incredibly blue waters will knock  your eyes out.
After you have spent all the time you wish at the falls, we take you tubing on a lower part of the same river. Exciting rapids, but not difficult. All ages can go. Perfect family day in Jamaica.

Name: DUNN'S FALLS & SECRET FALLS COMBO

Description: If you can't come to Jamaica and NOT climb Dunn's Falls, allow me to suggest the best way to do it. There are an average of 3000 people per day on Dunn's, holding hands in long lines who won't let you cut through them at all.
We have started taking our guests early, so we arrive at the falls at 8:30AM just as the ticket booth opens.
We run to the bottom and climb the falls taking pictures of us being the only ones on the falls. Then we sit at the top and watch the hoards start to come up after us. At that point, we go off to the Secret Falls which we have almost to ourselves for the whole day.

NAME; HIKE TO BLUE MOUNTAIN PEAK

Description: An incredible experience!!! Blue Mountain Peak is the 6th highest mountain in the Caribbean at 7403 ft (2500 m). It is best done as a two day hike. we stop at Old Tavern Estate on the way up the first day and include that tour at no extra cost. We stay over night at Whitfield Hall, a hostel with an uncommonly great personality in it's own right. We rise at 2:30AM to be sure that we reach the top of the mountain at dawn. After that the clouds start coming in and obscuring a fabulous view. I have made this climb over 200 times and seen Cuba from the peak only 4 times. Sometimes, the clouds are below us and it looks like a fairy castle with the sun rising through them. Sometimes, you can't see your hand in front of your face. No matter the weather, it is an extremely worthwhile experience. We are back at Whitfield in time for a large and delicious breakfast before our departure.
This tour can be extended to three days to also include a hike to Cinchona Gardens.

Port Royal, for the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN fans among us, is the place that is portrayed in the movies.

Name : MANATEES

Description: See the south coast and canoe down a crystal clear river to find three resident manatees. Jump in and snorkel with them. It is one unique experience. Their keeper feeds them so that we can view them up close and personal.
However, it is a long drive and the Manatees are wild animals. We normally see them, but can't guarantee that they will hang around and play with us.It is best to combine it with one of the south coast tours (Black River, YS Falls, Appleton Estate or Pelican Bar), or as part of a multi day tour around the country. So that if you don't get a great view of the manatees you will still have a fun day.

Name: APPLETON RUM ADVENTURE

Description: The Appleton Estate is one of the oldest and most revered Rum Factories in the Caribbean.
The plantation was in existence when the British captured the island in 1655. Appleton brand rum was established in 1749 and has long been considered one of the best brands in the world.
During World War II, they upped their production in order to replace whiskey, which was in short supply. As a result of their efforts, their blended rums became famous for their quality. I have yet to find a smoother and more reasonably priced rum than the Appleton Reserve or Extra (except for our 50 year aged Appleton at $5000 USD per litre).
