Country Cottage Inn, Kingston

A delightful discovery in the midst of urban Kingston! Owned and operated by a country girl from Portland, Valerie Deans, your gracious hostess, has accomplished the incredible feat of bringing a wonderful, secluded and peaceful air to accommodations within walking distance of the lights and action of New Kingston. The prime minister is a next door neighbour, but the prices are affordable.

Everywhere there is a space there is something growing. Pick your breakfast fruit off an overhanging tree

Right: The Inner Court is rainforest green

Kingston is well worth making a part of your stay in Jamaica. The contrast to the rest of the country is interesting and the night life and cultural aspects are quite metropolitan. Equal to the glitter and energy of the more publicized hotspots of Rio, or Port of Spain. Kingston enjoys a wealth of theatre, art galleries and historic sites in and around the town

The world's most famous pirates controlled Port Royal until it fell into the sea in 1692. Meander around the village inspecting old forts and 'the giggle house', or try the scuba diving which is still a fun way to visit the old city.

The rooms are decked with antiques and hardwood floors. Each one is unique and appealing

Each room has a kitchen, or kitchenette, lounging area and dining table

This couple spent part of a very pleasant honeymoon here. They agree it was MOST romantic
